President William Ruto on Wednesday chaired a Cabinet meeting at State House Nairobi.
Wednesday’s Cabinet meeting came a day after the Head of State led the country’s 60th independence anniversary celebrations and departed from the tradition of Tuesday meetings.
Ruto directed the Ministry of Energy to deal with the challenge of power failure.
Ruto said frequent power outages were hurting Kenya’s investment profile.
The Cabinet resolved that the transmission line system should be unbundled so that power failure in one part does not affect the entire country.
