In a remarkable display of solidarity and appreciation, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki spent an unconventional Boxing Day this year.
Breaking from tradition, he chose to share the festive day with security officers stationed in a frontline area of Baringo county, actively engaged in combating banditry and enhancing regional security.
The CS's Tuesday visit to the base, which started in the morning, was greeted with a mix of surprise and respect from the officers

As lunchtime approached, in a move that resonated with the officers, assisted in serving the meal in the base kitchen.
The menu featured a hearty selection of well-grilled meat, ugali (a Kenyan staple), and a variety of other local delicacies.
