Mombasa County residents and women leaders in different organisations held peaceful marches in Mombasa against increased cases of femicide.
The women called upon the national government to come up with laws and policies to end femicide.
"We do not want to lose more lives of women in ways which we do not understand, what we want is laws that will keenly be followed and implemented accordingly," Kenya Ujamaa Center project manager Grace Oloo said.
The peaceful march was also held across various towns and cities in country. The march attracted thousands of women and men who joined in solidarity.
