The country on Friday woke up to the devastating news of a gas explosion that had happened in Embakasi.
The government has confirmed that so far three people have been confirmed dead.
More than 200 were receiving treatment in various hospitals in Nairobi, some with serious injuries.
In the morning after the incident, badly destroyed vehicles could be seen covered in soot.

Smoke was still billowing from the scene from combustible materials, mostly tyres from vehicles that had been destroyed during the explosion.
Forensic experts were also seen at the scene trying to piece together information on what might have transpired, and the extent of the damage.
The public was also milling around the area which has since been cordoned off by the police to allow thorough investigations into the matter.
