More than 3,000 children and 70 athletes actively participated in the third edition of the Sirikwa Classic World Cross Country tour held at Lobo Village in Uasin Gishu County.

The event featured both local and international athletes competing for prestigious prizes.

Various races were organized, including 500m races for boys and girls aged 5-8 years, 1km races for boys and girls aged 9-12, and 2km races for those aged 13-16.

The program also included elite races, with women over 50 and men over 60 showcasing their skills.

The event commenced with curtain-raiser races, leading to the highlight races for men's and women's under-20 categories covering 6km and 8km, respectively.

The day culminated in the senior men's and women's 10km races. Each category recognized the top three athletes, who were duly awarded cash prizes for their outstanding performances.
