The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) on Sunday held a membership recruitment drive at Nairobi's Kamukunji Grounds.

The exercise was led by party leader Raila Odinga.

Nairobi is Raila's 15 stop over since he launched the aggressive exercise aimed at netting more ODM members across the country.

Addressing supporters earlier, party co-deputy Wycliffe Oparanya revealed that they are determined to cross the 10 million mark before holding grassroots elections.

"Our objective in ODM is to have 10 million members by April when we shall be doing our internal elections," he said.

At the moment, ODM currently has 8.2 million members and is targeting to hit 15 million by 2025.

Present were ODM Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna, Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Nassir, and Embakasi East MP Babu Owino among others.
