President William Ruto has arrived in Guinea Bissau for an official visit.
It comes after his two-day State visit to Ghana where he held talks with President Nana Akufo Addo.
In Guinea Bissau, Ruto is expected to also hold bilateral talks with his host, President Umaro Mokhtar Sissoco Embalo, aimed at strengthening ties between the two nations.
"In Guinea Bissau, President Ruto aims to enhance trade relations and identify new avenues for cooperation with Lusophone Africa under the Africa Continental Free Trade Area," State House Spokesman Hussein Mohamed said in a statement Tuesday.
He said the new frontier Ruto will be pursuing to establish with Guinea Bissau includes strengthening private sector participation in agriculture, manufacturing and technology transfers among other areas.
