Tanzania on Monday started testing its Electric Train with the maiden trip from Dar es Salaam to Dodoma.

Videos shared online by a traveller of the Dar es Salaam SGR station and inside the train are a marvel to be reckoned with.

Among the features offered inside the train is free Wifi.

The train covers 160 kilometres per hour and takes four hours from Dar es Salaam to Dodoma.

The speed might change in due time as it was in the testing stage.

The Tanzania Standard Gauge Railway links the country to the neighbouring countries of RwandaUganda and Burundi, and through these to the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
