The national tree-planting exercise has continued in various parts of the country.

Different leaders took part in the exercise.

The government's goal is to cultivate 15 billion trees in 10 years.

Homabay

In Homa Bay, Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen and Internal Security and National Administration Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo led the tree-planting exercise at Gembe Hills.

Today's exercise is Kenya’s second National Tree Growing Day, following the inaugural ‘Green Holiday’ on November 13, 2023.

Machakos

Treasury Cabinet Secretary Njuguna Ndung'u presided over the exercise in the county.

Uasin Gishu

In Uasin Gishu, officials of the Kenya National Union of Teachers also took part in the exercise.
