When floods wreaked havoc in the country a week ago, soil was among the residues swept off the roads.
In the Narok area, the flash floods transported soil from other parts of the land to the busy Narok Mai Mahiu road around the Suswa area, leaving the area totally impassible.
Days after the floods subsided, vehicles are now grappling with finding a route to their destination.
As we drive through the road, we are greeted by dust and caterpillars trying to remove heaps of soil off the road to create a way for vehicles.
As passengers sneeze and struggle to close windows, the road ahead looks impassible without the help of the people controlling the caterpillars.
Heaps of soil can be seen put aside on the road as excavators scoop the soil to allow vehicles to pass.
As we alight off the road, we realise that too much soil was transported onto the road at a depth of almost 3 metres.
Men can be seen scooping the soil either to go and sell or just use it in one way or the other.
