Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua on Thursday visited the Jumuia conference centre for inspection ahead of Friday's Limuru III meeting.
Karua was accompanied by former Kiambu assembly speaker Stephen Ndichu, former Gatundu North MP Patrick Kariuki Muiruri, ex-Kiambu Senate aspirant George Maara and former Laikipia governor Ndiritu Muriithi among others.
They are expected to issue a press briefing in preparation for tomorrow's event.
The Friday meeting will bring together professionals and businessmen from Mt. Kenya as well as religious organisations to chart the region's path.
Organisers say that at least 30 political parties from the Mt. Kenya region have so far confirmed their attendance.
Karua and Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni have maintained that the Limuru III Conference slated for this Friday will go on as planned.
The two, who got the endorsement of the Kikuyu Council of Elders, said the conference would be issue-based and open to all attendees.
According to the organisers, the conference will audit dipping business fortunes in Mt. Kenya which they attributed to government policies as well as forging a united front, despite differences amongst their own political formations.
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah have dismissed the meeting.
