Diaspora Affairs Principal Secretary Roseline Njogu on Thursday met with a section of diaspora business owners in Minnesota.
The meeting was held at the African Development Centre (ADC).
The ADC plays a vital role in supporting African immigrants and refugees to achieve financial security.
According to Njogu, ADC champions the prosperity of African immigrants and refugees by helping them overcome barriers to financial security.
It also gives them information on which areas to start with especially small business enterprises.
During the meeting, the diaspora business community acknowledged Kenya position in trade, hospitality, sports and as a getaway to Africa.
They called for more collaborations with business owners and entrepreneurs.
Njogu urged the business owners in the diaspora to take advantage of different investment opportunities available in Kenya.
She acknowledged that their contribution is paramount to any developing country.
Njogu also reiterated the importance of unity among the Kenyan diaspora community.
The meeting signifies a commitment to fostering closer engagement and collaboration between the Kenyan government and its diaspora business community.
