Some 89 military officers from 15 countries have completed combat training at the Joint Command and Staff College Karen, Nairobi.

Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale presided over the graduation of cohort 39-2023/24 on Wednesday.

The class of 2023/24 was made up of a select contingent of 68 Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) commissioned officers and 21 officers drawn from 14 other countries in Africa and beyond of the ranks of Major and Lieutenant Colonel.

The men and women graduating successfully underwent an enduring 48 weeks of training at the premier college.

The CS was accompanied by Vice Chief of Defence Forces (VCDF) Lt Gen John Omenda, Army Commander Lt Gen David Tarus and Airforce Commander Maj Gen Fatma Ahmed.

Others present include Navy Commander Maj Gen Paul Otieno, JCSC Commandant Maj Gen Eric Kinuthia among other Senior Officers.
