Cabinet Secretary for Roads and Transport Kipchumba Murkomen on Friday held bilateral talks with Korea’s Minister for Land, Infrastructure and Transport Sangwoo Park.

Murkomen held talks with Sangwoo at the 2024 Korea-Africa Infrastructure Forum which was part of the inaugural Korea-Africa Summit in Seoul after addressing the infrastructure portion of the forum.

The forum bolstered cooperation between Korea and African nations.

The forum tackled key infrastructure sectors like housing, urban development, transportation, roads and railways, paving the way for robust development across the continent.

"The 2024 Korea-Africa Infrastructure Forum, which was part of the inaugural Korea-Africa Summit in Seoul, bolstered cooperation between Korea and African nations, focusing on robust development in sectors such as housing, urban development, transportation, roads, and railways," Kipchumba said in a statement on X.

The talks highlighted the strong and growing partnerships in the transport sector, which include cooperation in intelligent traffic systems, bus rapid transport, infrastructure for the Konza Technopolis and preparations for future expressways.
