The US Embassy celebrated America's Independence Day and the 60th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the US and Kenya.
The event was held at Ambassador Meg Whitman's Tate House residence in Spring Valley on Friday.
It was attended by a number of dignitaries from government officials international organisation bodies, and business and entertainment gurus among others.
Present was Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Director of Public Prosecutions Renson Ingonga.
Mudavadi said the ties have enhanced partnerships in trade, investment, and security, and positioned Kenya as a digital leader in the region.
He described the past 60 years as warm, cordial, and a period of expanding diplomatic ties at both bilateral and multilateral levels.
Raila noted that Kenya and the United States have a long-standing partnership built on shared ideals.
The US was celebrating the 248th anniversary of Independence.
