President William Ruto and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Sunday attended a church service at A.I.P.C.A Ndogino, Nyandarua County.

During the service, Ruto urged the church to pray for the nation's leadership, even as he prepares to appoint a new cabinet.

"For the government ahead, pray for me so that I can get workers who will help me achieve the agreement we made with you," he said.

He at the same time insisted that the sale of illicit brews and illegal drugs must end in the country.

Ruto said he has even made changes to the police service to ensure no officer will permit the sale of illicit brew.

The President said the changes will extend to officers who man roads and allow transportation of illegal drugs from outside the country.

"I want to agree with the Deputy President that illicit brews and illegal drugs cannot continue in our country. I have made changes in the police service to ensure no officer will allow illicit brew to be sold because of the businesses of a few people," he said.
