Hundreds of protesters marched on the streets of Nairobi on Tuesday during anti-government protests called to continue calling for enhanced accountability.
The demonstrations were largely peaceful save for occasional incidents where police fired teargas at the group.
Nairobi Region Police Commandant Adamson Bungei walked into the CBD at some point and had a conversation with the protesters.
Another group of pro-government protesters was also on the streets with placards urging the Gen Z to give the President time to work.
A motorbike belonging to one of the pro-government protester was torched on Kenyatta Avenue.
Another group of the anti-government demonstrators started marching on Mombasa Road towards the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and were countered by anti-riot police.
