[PHOTOS] Masengeli takes over as DIG, Administration Police

Gilbert Masengeli on Monday officially assumed office as Deputy Inspector General, Administration Police Service.

The handover ceremony took place Monday at the headquarters, Jogoo House, Nairobi.

Masengeli takes over from Noor Gabow, who was deployed to the Public Service.

John Kamau who was serving in an acting capacity handed the office to Masengeli.

Masengeli is also serving as the acting Inspector General of Police following the nomination of Douglas Kanja as the Inspector General of Police.

Kanja was acting as IG after the exit of Japhet Koome.

The DIG-APS is responsible for leading the Administration Police Service and operates under the directions and control of the IG.
