[PHOTOS] Raila attends burial of ex-IEBC Commissioner Irene Masit's father

ODM leader Raila Odinga has arrived in Elgeyo Marakwet to attend the burial of Mzee Chirchir Masit, the father of former IEBC Commissioner Irene Masit.

The funeral service is taking place today in Chepkorio in Uasin Gishu, where Mzee Masit will be laid to rest.

Among those in attendance are Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, Elgeyo Marakwet Governor Wisley Rotich, and several other political leaders.

Masit was one of the four IEBC commissioners who rejected the results of the 2022 presidential elections.

While the other three colleagues resigned over their stance that the results were "opaque", she refused to do so.

Masit was, however, later removed from office following recommendations by a tribunal formed to investigate her.
