President William Ruto on Monday presided over the Pass-out Parade of the National Youth Service (NYS) trainees in Gilgil, Nakuru County.
Ruto was accompanied by Public Service CS Justin Muturi and Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika.
Ruto congratulated and commended the recruits for demonstrating exemplary honor, discipline, patriotism, a willingness to learn and the courage to take on new challenges.
"Your resilience and determination embody the founding principles and spirit of the National Youth Service," he said.
He encouraged the recruits to stay the course and pursue the path of success by upholding diligence, commitment, integrity, teachability and a strong sense of service.
"You possess the qualities needed to be leaders in patriotism, entrepreneurship, and public service," he said.
"Your country expects great achievements from each of you, and I am confident in your potential to make a positive impact on our nation. Go forth and lay the foundations of your legacy as individuals, as members of this graduating cohort, and as alumni of the NYS."
The President also acknowledged the dedication of instructors, mentors, administrative staff and the organisation's leadership in equipping the recruits with essential skills and knowledge.
