Residents in Dandora came out on Tuesday to mark 14 years since the promulgation of the constitution.
August 27 marks 14 years since the enactment of the 2010 Constitution.
There were songs, dances, and skits performed during the Kiwake Festival.
Speaking during the event, Trust for Indigenous Culture and Health (TICAH) Programme Manager Wangari Ireri urged Kenyans to speak out when their rights are violated.
Ireri said Kenyans are celebrating because the 2010 constitution recognises the sovereign power of the people.
She insisted that it was their right to have access to quality education, sanitation, housing, and other basic amenities as it was their right and not a favour.
Ireri also asked residents to be woke of any calls by politicians to make amendments to the constitution through a referendum.
"Any call to change the constitution without paying emphasis to the efforts of implementation is not in good faith," she said.
She affirmed that there was no problem with the 2010 constitution other than implementation which is a major concern.
