[PHOTOS] PS Omollo reviews learner safety in Taita Taveta schools

Interior PS Raymond Omollo is in Taita Taveta county where he's assessing the security situation including the safety of learners as schools settle down for third term.

Omollo said the government is committed to taking immediate action to address the concerns and challenges facing the security sector in the county.

His visit to schools focused on reviewing the security measures in place and strategies put in place by management to enhance children’s safety.

Among the schools the PS visited on Saturday was Kenyatta High School in Mwatate.

PS Omollo also held a briefing with the Taita Taveta County Security and Intelligence Committee led by County Commissioner Josephine Onunga.

The meeting focused on the recent surge in attacks on boda boda operators.
