Kenya Urban Roads Authority has completed rehabilitation of the 100-metre Kasarani- Mwiki Road.
Works on the road started a month ago after residents and Matatu operators held demonstrations protesting its deplorable state.
Kura chief corporate communication officer John Cheboi told the Star on Tuesday that the road was complete and open for public use.

"As KURA we take our responsibilities very keenly and we want to assure the Kasarani- Mwiki road users that the road is complete," Cheboi said.
He said that the ongoing rains have been a challenge on the repairs but they have managed to complete it on time.
Matatu operators had taken advantage of the poor state of the road and hiked fares Mwiki to the city centre.
Nairobi county distanced itself from the poor state of Kasarani-Mwiki road, stating that KURA had picked a "lazy contractor" to work on it.
In addition, Cheboi said that the authority will progress with other projects that are currently ongoing.
KURA is currently working on the final touches of the newly upgraded Outer Ring Road.
Last week the authority completed putting up the first footbridge at Baba Dogo section which is one of the expected 11 footbridges that KURA will be constructing along Outer Ring Road.
