Ukunda Airstrip will be renamed Diani Airport as from April 25.
The announcement was made on Wednesday by Civil Aviation Authority.

said the
upgrading follows the commissioning of a Mobile Air Traffic Control Tower and Ministry of Tourism strategy to brand Diani as a global brand.
Ukunda Airport is a small airfield near Diani Beach in Kwale County.
It
serves the local areas of Diani, Tiwi and Msambweni.
