Four suspected poarchers have been arrested in Ijara area of Garissa County for illegal possession of bush meat.
The four were arrested on Sunday by a joint operation team comprised of officers from Kenya Wildlife Service, Northern Rangelands Trust and the Director of criminal investigations.
The teams managed to recover 150 Kg of giraffe meat, and carcasses of four dikdiks and two lesser kudu.
The team also seized hunting tools and a motorcycle from the suspects, who are currently being held at Masalani police station.
KWS in a statement said the four suspects will be arraigned at Garissa law courts on Monday to face charges of illegal possession of bush meat.
