ODM leader Raila Odinga on Thursday met Githurai traders and the Kikuyu Council of Elders at the latter's headquarters in Nairobi.

The AU special envoy arrived minutes to 3pm at the Council's headquarters along Limuru Road.

The former Premier then joined the elders in holding special Kikuyu prayers while facing Mt Kenya.

Raila has been holding a series of meetings with various groups to popularise the Building Bridges Initiative.

On Monday, the NASA leader met Team One Nation led by former Mungiki leader Maina Njenga at his Karen residence.

On Wednesday, the opposition chief met a number of youths drawn from Nairobi and later addressed a rally at Burma market.

During his CoE meeting on Thursday, Raila was accompanied by senators James Orengo (Siaya), Moses Kajwang' (Homabay) and MPs Jeremiah Kioni (Ndaragwa) and Paul Koinage (Kiambaa).
