The Ministry of Health has announced 485 news cases of Covid-19 from 5,355 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
The new cases bring the total caseload in the country to 176,622.
From the cases 467 are Kenyans while 18 are foreigners, with 277 males and 208 females.
The number of recoveries rose by 312 to 121,206. From the news recoveries 219 are from the Home-based Isolation and Care program while 93 are from various health facilities countrywide.
No deaths have been reported today with cumulative fatalities remaining at 3,428.
A total of 1,076 patients are currently admitted in various hospitals countrywide, while 4,810 are under the Home-based Isolation and Care program.
Some 102 patients are in the Intensive Care Unit, 29 of whom are on ventilatory support and 60 on supplemental oxygen with 13 others under observation.
Another 115 patients are separately on supplemental oxygen with 110 of them in general wards and 5 in High Dependency Units.
The cases are distributed in the counties as follows; Nairobi 119, Homa Bay 68, Siaya 61, Kisumu 48, Mombasa 28, Busia 24, Kakamega 19, Kericho 16, Nakuru 14, Bomet 13, Uasin Gishu 11, Bungoma 10, Vihiga 8, Kisii and Machakos 7 cases, Kilifi 5, Nyeri and Narok 4 cases, Migori 3, Kajiado, Kiambu, Kirinyaga, Kitui, Nyandarua and West Pokot 2 cases each, Kwale, Laikipia, Murang’a and Nyamira recorded a case each.
