Kenya on Wednesday recorded 506 new cases of Covid-19, bringing the country's caseload to 186,959, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe has said.
The CS in a statement confirmed that this was from a sample size of 7,376 representing a positivity rate of 6.9 per cent.
The cumulative tests stand at 1,996,442.
The country's fatalities have risen to 3,705 after another eight patients succumbed to the disease on diverse dates.
Kagwe said that there are 1,128 patients currently admitted to various hospitals across the country.
Another, 5,392 patients are on the home-based care programme.
A total of 118 patients are in ICU, out of which 39 are on ventilatory support.
Also, 177 patients are separately on supplementary oxygen, out of which 150 are in general wards and 27 in the HDU.
Meanwhile, 355 patients have recovered from the disease out of which 241 were from the Homebased care program while 114 were discharged from various health facilities.
Kenya's recoveries now stand at 174,522.
The CS said 1,511,693 vaccines have been administered countrywide.
