After being postponed for more than a year, the Tokyo Olympics officially opened on Friday.
The opening ceremony as is tradition was full of glamour in which the Kenyan Olympic team was part of.
Each team represented in the games marched while carrying high their national flags.
The march followed the Japanese alphabetical order, with Japan which is the host country marching last.
Team Kenya was led by its overall Captain Eunice Sum and his deputy and Shujaa captain Andrew Amonde.
The ladies donned red and blue African print attire, while the gents added a touch of black with their trousers to the same African print shirts.
The Kenyan team comprises 49 women and 38 men.
About 11,000 athletes from 204 participating nations are expected to compete in the Tokyo Olympics 2020.
The Olympic Games begin today and will run until August 8, 2021.
