Two people have died in a grisly road accident along Nairobi – Kangundo road in Matungulu, Machakos County.

Matungulu subcounty police commander Monica Kimani said the duo died on the spot during the 7.00 p.m accident that occurred in Nguluni area.

She said the two included the boda boda operator and his passenger.

Kimani said it involved a motorbike and private saloon car. She said the car hit the motorcycle head on leading to the deaths.

Eye witnesses said the accident occurred after the car’s driver lost its control and veered off the road, he was over speeding.

Kimani said the bodies were removed to Kangundo Level 5 Hospital mortuary while wreckage of both the vehicle and motorcycle towed to Matungulu police station.

She said they had launched investigations into the incident.
