Chama Cha Kazi party leader Moses Kuria has said his party believes in common ideologies with that of DP William Ruto’s UDA.

In an interview on Citizen TV on Tuesday night, Kuria said his 2022 candidate is still the same.

“The party is still supporting Ruto. Unless he asks us not to. We are very obedient as we were brought up by our parents and we will oblige,” Kuria said.

“I believe my party and UDA share the same ideologies because we are both members of the Hustler Nation. We are the founding members of the Hustler Nation.”

Kuria further reiterated that the Jubilee party was dead.

“What we know is that the Jubilee Party is dead. Without any fear of contradiction, eleven months from now, I will not be a Jubilee Party member. We are waiting for that big announcement for the Parliament to be dissolved.”

He said he will not defend his Parliamentary seat in 2022 due to the obligations that come with running the party.

The MP said his party will not be dissolved adding that Hustler Nation cannot be owned by an individual.

“It is also a fact that UDA is perceived to be dominated by incumbent MPs who are hell-bent to lock out their potential challengers out of the 2022 race…further, a party that has only 1 MP and 2 MCAs from Kiambu, Nyandarua, and Nakuru cannot claim to have bragging rights to brand all other parties as regional or tribal,” Kuria said.

His remarks comes at a time when Mt Kenya leaders continue to meet ahead of the 2022 elections.

Jubilee party leaders from the Mt Kenya region on Monday held a meeting with TSP party leader Mwangi Kiunjuri and Narc-Kenya's Martha Karua.

The leaders are said to have discussed a pre-election deal ahead of the 2022 General Election.

Taking to social media without revealing details of the meeting, Murang’a Women Representative Sabina Chege said, “Having a cup of tea with TSP Party leader Hon Mwangi Kiunjuri, Narc Kenya Party Leader Hon Martha Karua, and my colleagues this morning."

Last month, Karua and Kiunjuri held a meeting with seven parties from Mt Kenya and declared to unite the people.
