An MP from the South Rift could soon find himself on a collision course with his constituents and national government officials for taking undue credit for projects by the Ministry of Education. The legislator (Parliament Buildings pictured) has become notorious for claiming the accomplishments of the ministry, which he is now using as his 2022 re-election campaign tool. In one instance, the MP painted several classrooms built by the Ministry of Education but went ahead and put up a plaque indicating the structures are a project of the National Government Constituency Development Fund. A resident revealed that rivals of the MP are now on a mission to expose his tall tales.

Still on the Rift Valley, residents are wondering how a former legislator will fund his re-election campaign with auctioneers ready to bring down the hammer. The politician had been bragging about how he will stage the mother of all campaigns to reclaim the seat, only for auctioneers to move in. Word has it that auctioneers have already attached his dairy cows over a millions of shillings debt. His opponents, on the other hand, are now fanning rumours that the former MP is bankrupt and is even considering selling some of his properties to fund his campaigns.

And in Mt Kenya East, an MP has suddenly gone silent and residents are wondering why. A resident, however, revealed the legislator went silent after a political bigwig started to work with his rivals. The legislator was an ardent supporter of an influential politician but for some months now, he has not been visible at all his functions. The MP is said to be considering moving to another camp headed by another influential politician eying the highest office in the land. It is only a matter of time before the MP makes the big announcement.
