On Sunday, Kenya marks its 57th Jamhuri day celebrations at the iconic Uhuru Gardens.
The celebrations have brought together Kenyans from all walks of life to mark this day that Kenya became a republic.
Several leaders from both the government and the opposition have joined the celebration that will be President Uhuru Kenyatta's final Jamhuri, as he is set to retire in August 2022.
The leaders present include Deputy President William Ruto, Opposition chief Raila Odinga, Cabinet secretaries, Governors, Senators, MPs and MCAs.
Invited dignitaries are also present at the event.
Around 11,000 guests are expected at the Jamhuri day celebrations which will also mark the official opening of Uhuru Gardens to the public after more than a year and a half of closure for renovations.
