The Law Society of Kenya is a crucial body in the country that is mandated to advise and assist members of the legal profession, the government and the larger public in all matters relating to the administration of justice in Kenya
The body is headed by a chairperson who is also referred to as the president.
Its membership comprises all practising advocates, currently numbering in excess of 14,000.
Once elected into office by members, the LSK president serves a two-year term.
