Theuri will serve for the next two years.

He initially served as a council member of the Law Society of Kenya and Chairman of LSK, Nairobi branch.

The election that took place on Thursday was characterized by low voter turnout.

While conceding defeat, Ombati congratulated Theuri for his win and wished him well.

“Congratulations Eric Theuri. We all gave a good account of ourselves. The Law Society is larger than all of us. Thank you all for the support. God bless,” said Omwanza Ombati.

Havi also sent a congratulatory message to the new president-elect and asked him to brace for the challenges ahead.

“Congratulations learned friends for the transition. I am honoured to have served as the Wartime President of the Law Society of Kenya. That is exactly what I promised in my 3 Point Agenda,” said Havi.

“My Friend Theuri Eric Njeru, the weight of public office will for 2 years weigh heavily on shoulders as the 50th President of LSK. Unlike my predecessor, I will let you work and support you should you require my counsel. May you succeed where I failed and improve on what I did,” said Havi.

Havi also acknowledged Kamende's, who served as his deputy, for her diligence and loyalty during his reign as the President for LSK.

“Madam VP Carolyne Kamende Daudi, let us laugh it away again. The People are entitled to their collective wisdom or mistake. That is the beauty and flaw of democracy. For 2 years you were my loyal and trusted ally. It was expected you will be ‘executed’ with the King. It happens,” said Havi.
