Is a UDA nominee who captured the imagination of the country having difficulties in making own decisions? Our mole whispers to us that the nominee seems to be at a crossroads on matters party allegiance because of several handlers who have surrounded the politician. After turning down a ‘gift’ to enable her run campaigns on the advice of a camp associated with an elected leader's opponent, we are also informed she was a no-show at an event to thank the electorate for nominating them. Immediately a poster surfaced of her with a gubernatorial candidate from a rival party. The same candidate is said to be planning to host a different thanksgiving party at home where the chief guest is the gubernatorial candidate from the opposing camp.

A political minnow from Mt Kenya region is in trouble. After selling his home for a fortune and investing in seeking the UDA party ticket, he is now left a pauper after losing in the nominations. He is said to have approached a shylock associated with a political bigwig for a soft loan to pay fees for his children opening schools this week. Those close to him say the politician spent nearly Sh10 million in UDA campaigns for the parliamentary ticket. He, however, lost to his rival in a bitterly fought battle. There are reports that the politician's efforts to capture the attention of UDA top honchos flopped after they refused to pick his calls. Rough times ahead for the disappointed man, indeed.

Did a political heavyweight clash with an aspirant from Rift Valley at a hotel in Nairobi over the weekend? Well, a meeting convened to strategise on certain party campaigns in the region failed to take off after the governor aspirant declined to release some money needed for logistics. The governor candidate is said to have been asked to part with at least Sh5 million to bankroll a key event being planned in the key county. However, the candidate told off the leader, insisting that he had a lot of loans that were consuming a lot of money. Feeling dejected, the political bigwig warned the candidate that he risks being taught a bitter political lesson in the coming months.

In Nyanza, a political loser in the ODM nominations who has decided to go independent is causing ripples in the region. The politician, a strong political force who was allegedly unfairly edged out of the party nominations, is not only rich with deep pockets but also popular. Efforts by some party officials to talk him out of the race flopped. He is now threatening the election of an ODM candidate who is said to be very close to top ODM leadership. Will he manage to spoil the party for the ODM buddy? Well, time will tell.
