We as the Kenya Kwanza Alliance believe in what we are saying and stand by our promises.
We will implement everything we are promising Kenyans. But there's hot air in Azimio promises.
The reasons is this. If we can get Sh100 billion to invest in Kenya Airways, which is a public-private company, why can’t we find the same money to put in the bottom-up economic process?
This will uplift the lives of millions of needy Kenyans.
What we are saying is that if I earn Sh1 million, why can’t I be made to pay Sh50,000 to the National Hospital Insurance Fund?
We do this so that the person who earns Sh5,000 is treated with their costs covered by those who earn more.
If I look at the other side, where our Azimio brothers are standing, the question is this: Will Hon Raila Odinga, my friend, be able to give a Sh6,000 monthly stipend to every [needy] Kenyan?
Since now he is supporting the policies of President Uhuru Kenyatta and he seems to be in government, why can’t he start paying them now?
Why does he have to wait until Uhuru goes away and then start paying and yet he seems be discussing things with the President?
If they (Azimo la Umoja) cannot start doing it now, then I am saying it is hot air – just cheating Kenyans for the sake of getting votes.
As for absolutely free education, that is doable.
To educate our children from Standard 1 to the university is doable because where you need to invest a lot is in primary and secondary schools.
When you get to university, the demand minimises because many students will go to polytechnics and other training institutions.
And where do you get the funds from? Stop stealing public funds.
Remember when the President said that the country loses Sh2 billion a day?
Even if you don’t look at any other areas, if we curb the stealing of Sh2 billion per day, that will be enough to educate our children from Standard 1 to the university, even if you triple the number.
