The signed Charter pledged to allocate Sh25 billion of the Hustler Fund to women-run enterprises.

Kenya Kwanza Alliance led by the presidential candidate on Friday signed the Alliance Women Charter.

The event took place at Nyayo Stadium.

The signed Charter pledged to allocate Sh25 billion of the Hustler Fund to women-run enterprises.

Speaking, Ruto promised to establish the Hustler Health Care programme where every woman in Kenya shall be insured by the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) if he wins the elections.

"We will provide free pads for all girls, implement a return-to-school plan for teenage mothers and increase resources to the school feeding programme," he said.

The Deputy President will be a part of his government's commitment to boosting the enrollment of women in learning institutions.

Further, Ruto pledged to ensure women play roles in mainstream politics, governance, leadership, and entrepreneurship.

"Kenya Kwanza is the place for women of Kenya. There are already clear signs showing most of the elected women in Parliament will be from Kenya Kwanza. We will also produce the most elected women governors," he said.
