President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday arrived at the University of Nairobi's Taifa Hall in Nairobi City County for his inauguration as the Global Champion for the Africa Adaptation Acceleration Program (AAAP).
AAAP is a joint initiative of the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the Global Center on Adaptation (GCA).
It aims to raise $25 billion (Sh3 trillion) over 5 years, for investment in Africa's climate adaptation interventions.
Present was the AAAP CEO Patrick Verkooijen.
The President was accompanied by the Environment and Forestry CS Keriako Tobiko.
