The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) candidates for governor and senator in Kisii county would win, if elections were held today, Tifa research has said.
In a poll released on Thursday, ODM's Simba Arati leads the gubernatorial race with 66 per cent followed by United Democratic Alliance's Ezekiel Machogu at 11 per cent.
Former senator Chris Obure (Jubilee) comes third at 3 per cent while incumbent Sam Ongeri is Fourth with 2 per cent. He ties with Manson Oyongo.
The undecided voters remain at 15 per cent.
Kitutu Chache South MP, Richard Onyonka leads the senatorial race at 27 per cent and is followed by James Omingo Magara (Jubilee) at 9 per cent and incumbent deputy governor Joash Maangi (UDA) at 5 per cent.
Dominic Onderi, Samuel Okemwa, Richard Atemba, Evans Emori all tie at one per cent.
The undecided voters in the senate race however, remain at 51 per cent.
In the woman representative race, ex-radio presenter Donya Toto Doris Aburi is favorite to win at 32 per cent, while incumbent Janet Ongera is second at 15 per cent.
Theresa Bitutu is third with 3 per cent and Rachel Otundo closes the top four with 2 per cent.
The poll was conducted between July 5 and July 7 where by 516 respondents were interviewed through telephonic interviews.
The margin of error is +-4.3%.
