Drama ensued in Mitahato-Ngewa ward in Kiambu after Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria and Kiambu Woman Rep Gathoni Wamuchomba clashed in a rally on Thursday.
In a video seen by the Star, Wamuchomba is heard saying the rally was solely hers.
"This is my meeting, I am a woman. I don't want to be bullied by men... Today is Wamuchomba's day," she said as translated from the Kikuyu language.
She further told Kuria if he wanted a meeting, he should go ahead and organize one after hers.
"If you want your own meeting, don't come and spoil my meeting. You can organize yours after mine."
Kuria peacefully obliged and walked out of the rally pledging to meet the crowd later on.
"Once the meeting ends, you will find me by the roadside waiting for you," he said.
On Friday, the Woman Rep wrote to the County Returning Officer asking for an intervention in the matter, as the meeting was planned for UDA candidates as per their IEBC program.
"As a woman candidate, I seek protection during my campaigns," the letter by Wamuchomba reads.
"Moses Kuria forcefully stormed into my meeting and demanded to address the gathering creating scuffles and disrupting the meeting."
She further claimed that Kuria was too disrespectful and violent even though police tried to calm the meeting.
Kuria took to a Facebook post on Friday saying he has forgiven UDA and Wamuchomba for chasing him away from a rally.
Wamuchomba is eyeing the Githunguri MP seat.
