Kajiado voters sack 22 MCAs, three bounce back

In Kajiado North constituency, all five ward reps were replaced by new ones.

Kajiado residents have retained only three MCAs out of 25 in the Tuesday election. 

Final tallies released by IEBC in all the five subcounties indicate that only Kaputiei North MCA Joshua Olowuasa (ODM), Kitengela MCA Paul Matuyia (ODM) and Entonet/Lenkisim MCA Paul Metui (UDA) made a comeback.

In Kajiado North constituency, all five MCAs were replaced by new ones. 

Titus Matheka (UDA) replaced Mwathi Pere. In Oloolua ward, Eli Gor of ODM replaced Martin Kimemia.

Ndindiri Mwaura of UDA beat former MCA Robert Muoria in Ngong ward, while Maina Mutiga (UDA) in Nkaimurunya defeated MCA James Waichanguru (ODM).

In Olkeri, Stephen Gatho of UDA beat the former MCA Peter Njuguna (ODM).

In Kajiado South, Jackson Angaine (UDA) beat Lengete ole Kamete (ODM) in Rombo. Paul Metui (UDA) retained his seat in Entonet/Lenkisim.

James Nina (UDA) beat Peter Musunkeri in Kimana, while Timothy Saigilu (UDA) replaced Julius Moipaai (ODM) in Imbirrikani/Eselenkei.

Lewantai Lemomo (UDA) ousted Mpete Kitesho (ODM) in Kuku ward.

In Kajiado Central, John Loisa (UDA) defeated Nkitinyo ole Sere (ODM) in Dalalekutuk ward, while Joseph Mutunkei (Jubilee) defeated Samuel Teum (ODM) in Ildamat.

Simon Saitoti (Wiper) won the Purko seat against the incumbent, Daniel Naikuni (ODM), while Abraham Osoi (Wiper) in Matapato North beat Dickson Nkaloyo (ODM).

In Matapato South, David Mutunkei (ODM) beat the incumbent Hosea Toshi.

All the sitting MCAs in Kajiado West wards were replaced by new ones.

In Ewuaso Enkindoong’i, Joseph ole Torris (ODM) won easily after the incumbent Justus Ngossor opted out of the race.

Amos Sholoi (Jubilee) beat the incumbent, Moses Saoyo (UDA) in Keek-Onyokie. In Mosiro, Jonathan Koroine (UDA) beat the sitting MCA Peter Tirishe (ODM).

In Magadi, Joseph Kiresian of ODM beat the incumbent Joseph Masiaya (UDA), while Joshua Saigilu (UDA) beat the incumbent, Jackson Mpaada (ODM).

In Kajiado East, Joshua Olowuasa (ODM) retained his seat in Kaputiei North ward together with Paul Matuyia in Kitengela.

Daniel ole Kukan (UDA) beat the incumbent, Amos Peshut (Wiper) in Imaroro ward, while Nicholas Moloma of ODM defeated Henry Kimiti in Kenyewa/Poka ward.

In Sholinke, Marush Kisemei (UDA) won against the incumbent, Francis Kaesha (Jubilee).

In the parliamentary race, Kakuta Maimai (ODM) won the Kajiado East MP seat against nominated senator Mary Seneta (UDA).

In Kajiado South, Sakimba Parashina of ODM won against UDA’s Samuel Kutata. The incumbent MP Katoo ole Metito is in the gubernatorial contest.

In Kajiado North, Onesmus Ngogoyo (UDA) emerged as the winner against Jubilee’s Parsimei Gitau.

At the time of going to the press, the results for Kajiado West and Central constituencies were still streaming in.

The results for the governor race, Women Rep, and Kajiado senator had not been completed.
