Kirinyaga county governor candidate Wangui Ngirici has accused IEBC officials of planning to alter the outcome of the gubernatorial results.
Ngirici said returning officer Geoffrey Gitobu allegedly colluded with her political rival Ann Waiguru to alter the outcome of the final tally.
Ngirici who stormed the tallying centre while accompanied by her lawyer Ndegwa Njiru and a number of her supporters claimed the Gichugu constituency votes have been inflated by 6,000 votes in favour of Waiguru.
An angry Ngirici said they have been undertaking a parallel tallying in which all the gubernatorial results from Ndia, Mwea and Kirinyaga central constituencies have aligned with the IEBC's apart from those in Gichugu.
They now are demanding a re-tally of the votes in Gichugu constituency.
Tension has been high within and out of the tallying centre.
Earlier, a commotion was witnessed after supporters allied to Ngirici descended on an alleged county government vehicle suspected to have been carrying election materials.
Ngirici has vowed not to leave the premises until her concerns are addressed.
