Deputy President William Ruto-led party UDA has scooped all six seats for MPs in Nyeri county.
The county has a total of 965 polling stations spread across the six elective constituencies.
This is the home county of Ruto’s designated running mate Rigathi Gachagua.
The incumbent Governor Mutahi Kahiga has also been elected on a UDA ticket alongside Wahome Wamatinga as Nyeri senator.
In Nyeri Town, UDA’s Duncan Maina was ahead of the incumbent, Ngunjiri Wambugu of Jubilee.
In Othaya, Gichuki Mugambi was trailing UDA’s Wambugu Wainaina, popularly known as Mt Kenya.
In Mukurwe-ini, outgoing Nyeri speaker John Kaguchia of UDA was awarded the certificate after he defeated Anthony Kiai.
Mukurwe-ini constituency returning officer Josphat Mwololo confirmed that Kaguchia emerged victorious after getting more than 75 per cent of the total registered voters.
Kieni MP Kanini Kega who was defending his third term on the Jubilee ticket lost to Njoroge Wainaina of UDA.
Geoffrey Wandeto won the Tetu parliamentary seat against Jubilee’s Wakili James Gichuhi, while Eric Mwangi Wamumbi was announced the winner of Mathira MP seat, succeeding Rigathi Gachagua is DP Ruto's running mate.
In 2017, only Kieni MP Kanini Kega was re-elected on the Jubilee ticket while all other MPs that were elected in 2013 were sent home.
Ruto and Gachagua have been campaigning for six-piece voting.
During a past interview, Gachagua urged the residents of Mt Kenya to support Ruto’s bid by electing leaders allied to his party.
