Azimio presidential running mate Martha Karua has broken her silence after the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) declared their opponent William Ruto the President-elect.

In a tweet, Karua said the fight is still on.

"It is not over till it is over," she tweeted on Monday.

Releasing the results, IEBC chairperson Wafula Chebukati said the Azimio candidate Raila Odinga lost his bid by a margin of 1.65 per cent.

Ruto garnered 7,176,141 votes which represents 50.49 per cent of the valid votes, against Raila's  6,942,930 votes which translates to 48.85 per cent.
