Vihiga woman rep hopeful Bagada to challenge Adagala's win

Says her legal team is currently working on her documents that will be tabled in court.

Vihiga Woman Representative candidate on the UDP ticket has said she will challenge ANC's Beatrice Adagala's win in court.

Violet Bagada said her legal team is currently working on her documents that will be tabled in court.

She spoke to the Star on Tuesday.

Bagada's team at Chavakali High School tallying centre claimed she was rigged out by her rival.

Adagala won the seat with 52,507 votes, followed by Bagada who had 40,508 votes, Winnie Majani of ODM had 32,472 votes and Ruth Bukachi (Independent) came forth with 24,115 votes.

Others who were in the race include Mary Amalemba (DAP-K) had 13,876 votes, Magret Mbuni (Kanu) had 2,683 votes and Afandi Lukalo had 4,773.

Others were Kevina Oriedo of Jubilee who had 4,174 votes, Nancy Abisai 2,093 votes, Roda Mbandu (Ford Kenya) 2,884 votes, and Nancy Abisayi with 2,096 votes and Lonah Obiri with 1,760 votes.

However, efforts to reach Adagala for comment failed as she didn't pick up calls nor respond to text messages.
