The IEBC has announced August 29 as the day it will conduct elections in areas where the polls were postponed in the concluded General Elections.
IEBC chair Wafula Chebukati said the commission was fully prepared to hold the elections on Monday after postponing the exercise twice.
"We will hold the elections on Monday unless there are other suggestions from you," Chebukati told candidates contesting in the elections during a meeting with them at Bomas of Kenya, Nairobi.
All seven commissioners of IEBC attended the meeting.
Kakamega governor candidate Cleophas Malala said they had no problem with the date proposed by the commission.
"We however want to know if there will be enough time and money for civic education. Our voters need to be informed of the date and encouraged to turn up for the exercise," Malala said.
Mombasa ODM gubernatorial candidate Abdulswamad Nassir had said he will not attend the consultative meeting with IEBC officials.
Nassir was to send his running mate Francis Thoya.
Last week, the IEBC chair released a statement saying the elections had been postponed indefinitely.
The elections which were to be held during the general election on August 9 were pushed forward to August 23 after the commission realised a mistake in the ballot papers printed.
IEBC twice suspended Mombasa and Kakamega gubernatorial elections and four constituency seats - Pokot South, Kitui Rural, Rongai, and Kacheliba.
Chebukati cited threats and harassment of his officials as reasons to postpone the elections for a second time.
