Azimio la Umoja supporters flocked Milimani Law courts ahead of the filing of a petition challenging the declaration of William Ruto as the President-elect.
This comes as Raila Odinga-led Azimio la Umoja coalition is expected to file a petition on the recently concluded presidential election at the Supreme Court by 2 pm.
This is in line with the set constitutional deadline for filing a presidential petition.
The coalition was expected to file the petition on Sunday, but it was moved to Monday (today) when the set deadline collapses.
After filing, Azimio will be expected to serve respondents within one day, who will then have four days to file their responses.
A seven-judge bench will decide on Azimio’s election petition. It will listen to Azimio, Ruto and the electoral commission and decide the way forward to deciding who is Kenya’s legitimate president.
