Microsoft on Thursday announced that it is rebranding its 32-year-old software package and giving it a new name - Microsoft 365.

The tech company said the Microsoft office brand will not disappear but the changes will be rolled out gradually.

The firm notes that for Office.com, changes will roll out in November this year while Office for Windows and mobile applications will roll out in January 2023.

"In the coming months, Office.com, the Office mobile app, and the Office app for Windows will become the Microsoft 365 app, with a new icon, a new look, and even more features," the company said on its FAQ segment.
