Lands, Housing and Urban Development Cabinet Secretary nominee Zacharia Mwangi Njeru says he's worth Sh80 million.

While appearing before the National Assembly Committee on Appointments on Wednesday, Zacharia said his wealth is in the form of parcels of land and investments.

"The break down of my wealth is my residence where I stay in Nakuru, I also have various parcels of land and I have also invested in various investments group and saccos," he said.

Njeru was the fourth nominee to face the vetting panel on Wednesday.

He said he appreciates President William Ruto for seeing him fit to take up the role although he is not a person known more to the public.

"The bottom up appreciates that people who are not known, people who are not in the limelight can also be nominated to various positions," he said.
